THE MATTY’S: “Best Picture- 2014”

It’s been a long five weeks at The Matty Academy, but we have reached the pinnacle of “The Matty Awards.”

It’s not easy being the #1 movie awards show in America. We bust our humps all year long down at The Academy, trying to give you the most thorough and detailed movie reviews throughout the year, and we put the same effort into THE MATTY’S.

I’m serious, it takes FIVE weeks to put on this awards show, and right now I’m just about ready to get back to reviewing newly released films like “Pompeii,” “Vampire Academy,” “Robocop,” and “The Lego Movie.” (Everything is awesome!)

THE MATTY’S: “Best Actor- 2014”

MattysOscarPicksAnd we’re back at the 2014 Matty Awards, the awards show that honors the best of the best in film.

We are in the fourth round of a five round fracas, this time pitting the men against each other. (Round 3 was a humdinger of a battle between the ladies with Adele Exarchopoulos delivering the knockout punch with her performance in “Blue is the Warmest Color”).

Now it’s time for the men to start tossing bombs. And it’s a stacked class for this melee. So let’s get right to it.

THE MATTY’S: “Best Actress- 2014”

OscarPicks_TheLadiesWelcome back to the third installment in my five part series known as THE MATTY’S, Hollywood’s most legitimate, non-partisan, uncorruptible movie awards show, hosted by yours truly, Matty W. Kelley!

We’ve “reeled” our way through the first two categories with “Best Supporting Actress” honors going to June Squibb for her spunky role in “Nebraska,” and Jared Leto receiving the MATTY statuette for “Best Supporting Actor” for his turn as “Rayon,” the cross-dressing sidekick in “Dallas Buyers Club.”
